The Orchestra of the International

The International Mandolin Academy Orchestra is an ensamble made up of musicians from Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Holland, Japan and Canada. It was formed in 2009, issuing from the International Mandolin Academy, a course founded and directed by Maestro Carlo Aonzo which draws musicians from all over the world.

From the wish to further the intercultural enrichment resulting from this experience, in which music is transformed into a universal language, the idea came into being of creating a fixed ensamble, whose task it is to promote and diffuse contemporary repertoire for plucked instruments.
